The heartbroken family of a young girl killed in a car crash have revealed they buried her in secret out of fear that trolls would ambush her funeral.
In July this year Heidi Riding was a passenger in stolen Holden Commodore when it smashed into trees in Newtown Toowoomba in Southern Queensland.
She died on impact.
The alleged driver, Kyaharlem Hazard, is only nineteen years old and has been charged with manslaughter.
Heidi’s family have now disclosed that just hours after her tragic death they were being trolled online.
After receiving hate mail the family decided to keep the location and date of her funeral a secret so they could bury her in peace.
Despite Heidi being laid to rest months ago the trolling has not ceased and while the family mourns their loved one, they also have to navigate the cruel hate directed their way.
The Courier Mail has reported that Heidi’s family have received hundreds of vile messages since she died.
Heidi’s older sister has been targeted by cruel trolls, once receiving more than 150 messages in less than an hour.
One troll said the world was a “better place” without Heidi.
Heidi’s father Shane Riding said he just wanted the trolls to stop and said that while he knew his daughter wasn’t perfect, she was loved.

“We want to apologise to anyone who has been affected by Heidi’s actions, she wasn’t perfect but we love her to death,” Mr Riding told The Courier Mail.
He added that he felt the trolls had already got what they wanted.
“They just have to look at her gravesite - she’s in the ground dead. We just want it to stop.”
